Spiritual Preparedness:
- Why be prepared Spiritually.
- Because God’s desires that all come back to Him thru Jesus.
- Benefits of being prepared.
- Heavenly home.
- Earthly promises.
- How to become prepared.
- Basic E.E. Program.
- Heaven is a free gift, and can’t be earned. Nothing we can do can buy or provide eternal life with GOD and Jesus.
- All of us have sinned and fallen short, not deserving eternal life with God and Jesus.
- God is just & must punish sin, but Loves & provides us a way out.
- Jesus is God’s gift and answer to man’s sin problem with HIS death on the cross and HIS resurrection from the grave.
- Faith is the key to receiving this gift. Thru:
- Repentance. Admitting to GOD that we have sinned, but are turning away from our old way of living.
- Confession that Jesus is the Christ and the SON of the Living GOD. That we accept HIM as our Savior, and the Lord of our lives.
- Baptism where we go under the water, as in a grave, and coming out to a new life and identity in Christ.
- Works of faith not to save us, but to show that we are saved by Jesus’ death on the Cross.
- Basic E.E. Program.
Mental Preparedness:
- Why be prepared mentally.
- Because God wants us to “Watch & Pray evermore as we see the day approaching”. Mat, Mark, Luke. Jesus’ second coming.
- Prob: 22…. The wise man sees trouble coming and takes refuge, the simpleton just goes on and is caught.
- Benefits of being prepared.
- You will be able to guard your mind when crisis hits.
- You won’t be paralyzed & unable to make quick life decisions.
- IF you are the Spiritual Head, you will be able to “Provide for the family.”
- How to become prepared.
- Take inventory of how your life is lived each day.
- Determine how disruptions may affect you & your Family each day.
- Think through the possibilities of events. What dangers will you face in fire, flood, extreme cold, or other possible events?
- Think through your action response to these events. What can you do to mitigate the dangers you may face?
- Determine how you will respond to your family’s needs. What do you need to learn, purchase, or talk through, or train to do?
- Do you have the skills necessary to do so? Be honest. Where can you go for training or information on the “How to Subjects”?
- Acquire necessary knowledge to provide the best response that you can for the most threatening possible events. Do the best you can with the time and resources you have at your disposal. Then turn the rest over to God to make up the difference.
Emotional Preparedness:
- Why be prepared emotionally.
- “For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Tim 1:7
- When we are at peace in difficult situations, we draw all who see us to God, thus the last great soul harvest!
- Benefits of being emotionally prepared.
- When crises hit we will be able to keep a calm head, reading the events in perspective to God’s word.
- We will be able to listen to the HS voice within and be able to be decisive as He directs at a moment’s notice.
- How to become prepared.
- Preview possible events in your mind and determine how you would respond to such an event.
- Ask god what your response should be, and then look for direction as he puts resources( books, videos, people, teaching, etc ) in your path to draw from.
- Determine your fear quotient in possible events. If one event or set of events causes fear in you, ask God to show you why. Are you just simply unprepared to meet such an event? Is it lack of Mental, Emotional, Physical, or Spiritual preparedness that is causing the fear to well up?
- Go back and review that area of preparation to see where you are in need of further growth.
Physical Preparedness:
- Why be prepared physically.
- So we can be the salt of the earth.
- So we can participate in the last great soul harvest.
- So we can show love to the FAMILY first, then the outside world.
- Benefits of being physically prepared.
- ALL of our time won’t be caught up in trying to meet the daily needs, from being unprepared.
- We will be fed and have shelter and protection so we can tell the good news to the world that has no hope during the crises.
- We can share some of what we have with those who express a need and a desire to come to Jesus.
- How to become prepared.
- Determine exposure of your personal infrastructure.
- Determine best contingency plans for basic needs. How do you implement these plans?
- Start setting aside portions of salary to acquire basic needs, first in food & water, then heat, the rest of the 10 essentials, and then other areas deemed necessary.
